Dear Lafayette Little League Board of Directors, Managers, Coaches, Parents and Players,
I am excited and extremely grateful to receive and accept your donations to the Runs 4 ALS program for the 2016 season. Your contributions of $5870.50 this year take the grand total from LLL to $50,004.45! It has been 8 years from the inception of Runs 4 ALS and I sincerely appreciate your continued support. My battle with this disease is in year 16, which is very rare. The typical life expectancy is 2-5 years. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS and another succumbs to its devastating effects.
Your donations will support the Golden West Chapter and the ALS Association to continue their mission to end ALS. The ALS Association is leading the effort to find a treatment and a cure through their Advocacy, Patient Care and Research Programs. In the past five years research funded by the ALS Association has produced very promising advancements towards finding a way to treat this disease.
There is no other way I know to express my sincere gratitude for your continued generosity and support than to say thank you, thank you, thank you! Together we will make a difference.
Wishing you all good health and happiness,
Matt Chaney
