Who Must Attend Evaluations
Evaluations are required for:
- All players who are Little League 8-year-olds (LL-8s) — born on or before August 31, 2018 — and older
- LL-8 players who are declaring for the AA draft
Players younger than LL-8 are not required to attend evaluations.
Important Information for LL-8 Players
We strongly encourage all Little League 8-year-olds (LL-8s) to attend evaluations.
- There are 45 available AA roster spots for LL-8 players this season.
- Approximately 67% of LL-8s will play in AA.
- This percentage is slightly higher than usual due to enrollment numbers this year.
- Attendance at evaluations is mandatory to be considered for an AA roster spot.
AA vs. FARM Placement
If you feel your 8-year-old is not yet ready for AA, they may still play in FARM.
However, players who completed FARM as a 7-year-old are typically ready to move up to AA, and we strongly encourage them to attend evaluations.
If you have questions about the differences between AA and FARM, please do not hesitate to email us.
Younger Players
Players who will be participating in the Instructional or FARM divisions do not need to attend evaluations.
This does not apply to younger siblings.
